The you are the truth project is traveling storytelling project. Blank journals are sent to those who request them, and that person adds entries about their own life and experiences in the form of stories, poetry, photos, drawings, etc., and then passes the journal on to someone else who does the same, repeating the process until the filled journals are returned to us. We scan the entries and post the entries on the site with the belief that if we recognize ourselves in one another, we can foster connections between us and start working together for positive change.

aac apparel began in 2002 as impermanentmediaPress which was Leslie's outlet for creating and selling hand-screen printed t-shirts. A fire destroyed the business in March 2005, which was housed in her apartment, but was resurrected in 2006 and brought under the umbrella of aac films.

In keeping with our commitment to social change/justice, aac apparel t-shirts are a mixture of progressive political designs and more personal artwork/photographs all still hand-screen printed on 100% sweatshop-free/union-made products. Everything from design to making the actual frames to printing to order fulfillment, is done completely by aac apparel.

10% of the proceeds from the sale of all t-shirts are donated to a community-based, grassroots organization working for positive social change. We choose a different organization each quarter, and make a donation to them. If you would like to suggest an organization, please let us know about them.
